This is a grade II listed beauty!
Historic England quite rightly inform us that this kiln is probably early C19, constructed of limestone rubble, with millstone grit dressings and a round arch to stoke hole. It has a well-preserved convex retaining wall and is built into the side of a limestone outcrop. But what is doesn’t tell us is that it is absolutely beautiful!
Go on – explore the area……..you will also find the incredible Batty Moss Viaduct (also known as the Ribblehead Viaduct) nearby too!
It is near Ribble Station and of course the Salt Lake Cottages!
Gauber Road, Ingleton, Craven, North Yorkshire, Yorkshire and the Humber
