A small and struggling museum that needs generous donations and support. They tell the story of Yorkshire’s waterways.

Come on people use it or lose it!!

It is FREE, but they do need donations. Take a look and maybe offer some suggestions for improvement?!

The ‘Aire and Calder Gallery’ includes the original aft cabin of the 1910 Sobriety barge that is moored at the Museum having been refitted for residential expeditions. In 2001 the Museum was funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund to build a new gallery – the ‘Sail and Keel Gallery’.

You can book a boat trip on a well equipped broad beamed historic barge or enjoy a day on the water with themed food or pub stop or an hours trip around Goole Docks.
