Grade II listed monument to industry!

Wike Farm Lime Kiln is situated 40 metres west of Wike Farm near Humphrey Head.

Historic England say that is is probably early 19th century and notes that it has dressed stone. Also that the west elevation has a segmental arched fire hole and narrow projecting course above.

There is more to this story though – can you add to its history?
