It holds a long sweeping curve right through the site of Abraham Darby’s Old Furnace.

It opened in 1864. Operated largely by the Great Western Railway Co, it formed part of a through route from Wellington, via Much Wenlock to Craven Arms.

Unless you’re in a hurry, pull in to the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron, where you’ll find a warm welcome and easy parking!
