At Parc Glynllifon, is a mansion built by Lord Newborough in the 1830’s and 40’s, but as is sometimes found with such an estate, it also has machinery used to service the estate.

In the estate workshops there are remains of an iron water wheel, it’s leat and mill race, which was used to power their saw mill. This was later replaced with a horizontal steam engine by De Winton of 1850, which was restored by the late Fred Dibnah!
